Christmas Eve

This year was different.  We had to try and invent new traditions because back home we would have gone to Grandma’s and been surrounded by family.

We opened Christmas PJs. (cute kids!)

Jessi and Sammi created a little program for us with hymns and readings from the Bible. Becca played us a Christmas song.

And this – how I love this!  We watched this.  I’ve been trying and trying and trying to get Joy and Bella to understand what Christmas is really about, but in vain.  But this had them glued!  How I love this song!

We played a quick game of Uno.

And we skyped with family during their celebrations.  While that was a fun idea, it may not have been a good idea. There were tears and sad feelings of what we were missing.

Merry Christmas Eve!
