Christmas Day

What a wonderful day!  We opened gifts.  We stayed in our jammies.  We played.  We ate.  We watched TV.  Marissa and her family stopped by.  Why is a visit on Christmas Day more joyous?  We had a wonderful day together.  How grateful I am for my family – and to be able to be together.  One thing I have learned from having so many nurses in and out of our house is that there are many people who are alone in this world.  I am grateful for family – especially during the holidays.

As you can see, Jessi got a lot of cake decorating stuff – so we made a cake and she played with fondant.  She made us her version of an “Ace of Cakes” cake.IMG_0252dec 25 280dec 25 281dec 25 282dec 25 283dec 25 284

Our fancy dinner – this year we went traditional.  So Roasted Leg of Lamb, Bacon, Cremini, and Brie Potatoes, Broccoli and Cauliflower in Cheese Sauce, Caesar Salad, Dinner Rolls and Jessi’s cake – all on our china.  Wonder what we’ll do next year?
