Good-bye Kris! We love you!

Kris took off to go back to Idaho and BYU-I.  We will sorely miss her!

We had a small celebration in her honor – homemade Chinese and Baskin and Robbins Ice Cream Cake.  Then we played Phase 10.  She may kill me for some of these pics-but what can she do?  She’s far, far away;)

Another Week

We saw seven doctors this week.  That was busy!  We are also enjoying passing around a fun virus.  Of course, the girls found time to play.

Our Cub Scouts called and asked if they could come and planted some flowers and learn about Bella.  Of course!  We did some yard work and then had a quick anatomy lesson before meeting Miss Bell – fun!

After 18 months of neglect, Bevo NEEDED to be groomed.  They looked at him and shaved him.  We think he’s embarrassed – poor old dog.  Our nurses have asked us if we got a new dog and where was Bevo?  Pretty funny – no worries, Bevo, it’ll grow back!

Sometimes I wonder if the girls are getting enough attention.  It is often a subject in my prayers.  But I do find evidence that there is lots of love here.April 9 001 April 9 009April 11 012

Becca had a campout on Friday.  They spent the night and then hiked for 8 miles Saturday morning – and they only got a little rain :)

Today was Field Day!  The girls have been so excited!  I volunteered to run one of the stations – so I only have pics of the Sponge Relay.  The kids had a lot of fun today!  Then I got to go in and have lunch with Lizzy and Jessi.  Fun day!

Southern Lady

april 6 007 - Copy (2)

This morning I made biscuits and sausage.  Looking at the pan, I turned to Lizzy and asked if she wanted sausage gravy this morning.  She had no idea what I was talking about!  What??  So I made a breakfast my Grandma would have been proud of.  We have to keep those Southern roots alive!

Speaking of being Southern, I am loving my Azaleas!  They are so pretty right now!april 6 008 - Copy (2) april 6 009 - Copy (2)   april 6 012 - Copy april 6 013 - Copyapril 6 010 - Copyapril 6 011 - Copy

Real Life 101

When your nurse calls out and you have two kids with doctor’s appointments, what do you do?  You go.April 5 078

Lizzy had a fever of 103.8, so we had to go.  Her throat is hurting and her head is killing.  She does not have strep.  She has something viral – yeah – can’t wait for that to pass around the house :).  I spare you the picture of Lizzy – she looks so pathetic.  With a fever that high, she does not feel well.  She is glad that she gets to eat all the popsicles she wants and drink all the juice she wants.  Poor baby!

Becca has been complaining of bone pain in her left leg for quite some time.  So today we went and got an x-ray and she finally got some cream for her eczema.

She wouldn’t look at me – but she is making the “oohhhhh, that feels so much better” face.  :)

We got all kinds of looks with Bella in tow, but she did fantastic.  We had to give her some xopenex and do some suctioning, but I thought that things went rather well.  I have to be careful with her, but she seemed to enjoy getting out.
