Receiving Personal Revelation

Personal revelation is an interesting thing.  I was reading the other day and came across this:

And I do this for a awise bpurpose; for thus it whispereth me, according to the workings of the Spirit of the Lord which is in me. And now, I do not know all things; but the Lord cknoweth all things which are to come; wherefore, he dworketh in me to do according to his ewill.

Words of Mormon 1:7

And it hit me that is how I receive revelation – small whisperings, gentle direction, little nudgings.  It blew me away that Mormon, the great prophet that edited all of those records and compiled the Book of Mormon, received revelation the same way I do.  Of course, these men that we sustain as prophets, seers, and revelators are only men, but what great work they have to do!  Think of the impact of the Book of Mormon – and all the help he got was what I get.  Wow!  I am grateful that we can learn to listen and be guided.  I am grateful we don’t have to wander alone without any divine direction.
